Zebari: Volume of Trade Exchange Between Iraq and China Rose 20-Fold and Reached 24 Billion Dollars

Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari said the high volume of trade between his country and China for 20 times, and reached 24 billion dollars in the recent period.
And arrived earlier in the morning, and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Baghdad on an official visit.
Zebari said at a news conference with his Chinese counterpart: The State of Today China is the biggest trading partner of Iraq, and the largest investor in the energy sector such as oil, electricity and other fields.
He pointed out that relations between the two countries have witnessed significant as doubling bilateral trade to more than 20-fold, reaching a trade volume of 24 billion dollars recently, pointing out that there are more than 25 Chinese companies operating in different fields.
Zebari said “We discussed with the Ambassador of China in various fields, including its contribution in the process of arming Iraq.”
